Man United agree terms with 25-year-old international star – report
Manchester United have agreed personal terms with James Rodriguez ahead of his proposed transfer to Old Trafford from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol is reporting that Rodriguez has held talks with Real Madrid about his future this summer and has been told he is free to leave The Bernabeu.
Manchester United are reported to have agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old Colombia international – but the Red Devils have been told by Real Madrid that they will have to shell out at least £61m if they want to sign the midfielder this summer.
The Red Devils are said to be keen in bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford but the Premier League club are yet to agree on a fee for the player.
Rodriguez’s future has unsurprisingly been a source of speculation this summer after he found his first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu to be significantly limited last season.
The Colombia star made just 13 La Liga starts for los Blancos and didn’t even make the bench for their Champions League final triumph over Juventus earlier this month.
